MA Sociology is a 2 year post graduation course. The course imparts knowledge about the society and its mechanism. Post graduation in sociology is not only a very enticing carrier but also many options. It opens many avenues in hospital, private clinics, social service, criminal justice etc. On completion of MA sociology, the candidates can go for M Phil or PHD or pursue their carrier in teaching after qualifying NET/ SET. They may also be appointed in state service to the post of BDO, welfare officers, Public relation officer etc after qualifying the competitive exam conducted by the PSC.
